This is a brand new item called the GrimLock D Ring. It was designed especially for the MOLLE system. It is a great way to "tame" wild comms wires, drinking tubes, and an excellent way to have items dummy corded, but also easily removable. These come in a set of 5, in Foliage Green 504, the authorized color for the Army's new Universal Pattern gear. This item has a breaking strength of 80 pounds as per factory specs. It easily attaches to 1 inch webbing, and opens and closes at the push of the top button. The slit that is integral to it ensures that the 1 inch webbing does not curl up or fray. This is a great way to have items dummy corded to your vest, but have them easily removed and reattached in seconds. These are great to replace metal carabeiners for uses like carrying gloves, keys on your bug out bag, or any other use you can think of for it.
